I moved into Founders Village with my family at the end of the Summer in 2018. Prior to that we lived in Buffalo New York for 12 years. While there I earned my PhD in Biology and worked for many years as a college professor. After one of life's many unexpected turns, I began to feel a desire to leave college teaching, and begin teching high school (my career actually started out as an 8th grade science teacher). Shortly thereafter, I accepted a job to teach at a local High School, and so moved with my family to Castle Rock.

My family doesn't have any pets that conflict with the current pet policy, but the number of pets we have does exceed the HOA limit of 3. I also fancy having a few back-yard hens when the time is right. Regardless, I strongly disagree with the HOA's arbitrary actions regarding the pet policy, and believe that we as members of the HOA should be able to determine what we want for our community. Thus I began working to ammend the covenants of the HOA as described in this web page.
